Kospi +13% and halted, Nikkei +4.40%, Microsoft +16% overnight — and GIFT Nifty is +0.11%. India has no semiconductor weight to catch a chip repricing, but it does get the two things that actually matter here: Brent −1.48% below $86 as Hormuz traffic recovers, and a dollar index −0.86%. The gap opens above yesterday's 24,342.95 high with the call wall now lifted to 24,600.
The line held and the first target came. Nifty defended 24,200 on a closing basis all session — the low was 24,187.10, a 13-pt undercut reclaimed immediately — then cleared the listed 24,283 and ran to 24,342.95 before closing 24,317.15, some 117 pts clear of the line. Sensex monthly expiry never produced the mechanical pull toward max pain the red branch warned about, and that branch correctly stayed dormant. The miss was the extension: 24,400 and the 24,483 band cap never came — and the option-implied band did cap the week exactly as written.
