Nifty finally cleared the 24,000 lid that rejected three straight closes, ending +1.10% at 24,250.20 and above the 24,200 call wall. Overnight the Fed held hawkish and Wall Street had its worst day since April 2025, while Brent jumped +6.6% on Iran strikes. GIFT points to a flat-to-lower open — the breakout gets its first real test today, into Sensex monthly expiry.
A clean sweep. Nifty held 24,000 from the open and never revisited it, then cleared every listed target in sequence — 24,041, 24,100, the 24,200 call wall — and tagged the week-band cap at 24,283 exactly, to the point, before closing 24,250.20. The red branch correctly stayed dormant and the gap was never filled. The band that was supposed to cap the week did precisely that on day one.
